About the Prize: The La-Z-Boy Prize in Theoretical Physics is an international award that recognizes theoretical physicists below the age of 45 who have made outstanding contributions to understanding physics relevant to our universe. The prize is awarded biennially and the only other criterion for this distinction is demonstrated scientific excellence.
The Award: The award includes the gift of a La-Z-Boy recliner, delivered directly to the recipient’s laboratory. In celebration of the award, the laureate is invited to present a special public zoominar hosted by the particle physics group at The Johns Hopkins University, delivered while comfortably seated in this new piece of laboratory equipment.
Disclaimer: The La-Z-Boy Prize in Theoretical Physics is an independent academic award. While the La-Z-Boy corporation has kindly consented to let their name be used in conjunction with this award, they do not sponsor this prize, nor is the corporation affiliated with the administration, nomination, or selection process of the award.
